Superhero Suit

It must be the superhero suit that allows her to do what she do,
Their not no ordinary woman by the way they walk in those shoes,
It must be the superhero suit that allows them to swag like they do,
Got a man wanting a ms. Superhero to be my boo.

We call her astronomical, Ms Independent, and Boss,
The type of girl who does it all, a winning team without a loss,
Walking around calling the shots, walking around so confident,
The type of woman you dream about, gorgeous and acts so elegant,
The way she wears that power suit, black tight and hugging fit,
Black stalking, dress up to her thighs, making every man forget,
Yet doesn’t show just how she feels, all business gotta keep it real,
Makes you wonder how she treats her man, how good it must feel.

If I can change the world

If I change the world

At times I feel that I could touch the sky,
High, the feeling of flight,
Capable of fixing anything at anytime that I try,
I often fantasize about the taking the negative from this world,
And hurling it to outer space to evaporate into dust.
Sometimes I wonder how my day would be without the issues I see,
Can we forgive those who caused us problems if we,
Could somehow take every moment like its our last do we,
Fulfill expression that fills the soul or be alone, unhappy.

At times I feel like all my problems cause the reasons for living,
A sign given to me, a purpose, something in life that needs fixing.
I look beyond the simple factors that a decision is brought to attention,
The reality of being imperfect tends to somehow relieve tension.
If I can bring the world joy in my motives and action,
I plan to do it all again, in this stage of generation.

Determined

Determination

When the going gets harder and you feel its impossible to move forward,
You gather the strength required inside you to finish.

When it feels like it’s a lonely path that your walking alone for days,
Don’t give up on yourself to find the light at the end of the road.

When your unappreciated for what you do, and you wish you can find another,
Look in the mirror and tell yourself you are worth it.

When assistance is not existent, and you feel your drive diminishing,
Don’t allow others to carry the burden for you, for the reward is sweet when the timing is right.

Give yourself credit for the decisions you made in the past,
While learning from the mistakes of others to provide experience and wisdom.

Determination is the key to all of your accomplishments.
Never forget who you are or where you come from to pave the direction in your success.

Benny And Joon Throwback

Benny and Joon is one of those movies that I can not seem to ever get tired of watching. For me, it has it all, a cleverly written script, great acting, particularly Johnny Depp.

These are my favorite quotes from the movie:

Joon’s answer, when asked by Sam why she hated raisins, as she was picking the out of the tapioca: “They used to be fat and juicy and now they’re twisted. They had their lives stolen. Well, they taste sweet, but really they’re just humiliated grapes. I can’t say I am a big supporter of the raisin council.”

Sam: “How sick is she?”
Benny: “She’s plenty sick. Now listen to me, I’ve been doin’ some thinkin’…”
Sam: “Because, you know, it seems to me that, I mean, except for being a little mentally ill, she’s pretty normal.”

A Walk To Remember Movie Quote

The first entry of the year! I’m starting out with sharing my favorite quote from the movie, A Walk To Remember.

Jamie: Without suffering there would be no compassion.

Every time I think life can be cruel and unfair, I think to myself what Jamie Sullivan told Landon:  “Without suffering there would be no compassion.”
